The UCSF Human Performance Center Seed Grant
The Human Performance Center serves primarily as a research facility, partnering with UCSF labs, scientists, and companies across the Bay Area to carry out studies in biomechanics, exercise physiology, and sleep and athletic performance.
Our state-of-the-art equipment and staff expertise enable us to support a wide range of research opportunities, from knee osteoarthritis to prostate cancer and more.
Objective
Provide seed opportunities for faculty, researchers, and trainees with research needs involving biomechanics and/or exercise testing supported by the HPC. Projects may lead to future extramural funding.
Award Amount and Allowable Costs
One award will be given during this grant cycle.
The maximum amount available is $5,000 in HPC services. Funds cover data collection only. Applicants will complete data processing with support from HPC staff and SOPs as needed.
